Leadership Institute for Latino Youth (LILY)

The Leadership Institute for Latino Youth (LILY) is a five-week summer academic and leadership program designed to help high school students build academic skills, explore college and career opportunities, and develop leadership skills. LILY is provided at no cost to participating students.
During the summer, LILY students participate in the following activities:


  1. Standards-based academic instruction to increase retention and aptitudes in English and math
  2. College and career exploration activities such as identification of goals, college campus visits, and career presentations provided by Latino professionals
  3. Leadership development through community service projects
  4. Physical and health education activities, including social and emotional wellness
  5. Enriching field trips designed to enhance leadership skills, career and college exploration
